Still Pond Farm Stables
Still Pond Farm Stables
Still Pond Farm Stables is a private, limited-capacity trail riding and retirement barn located in Stanardsville, Virginia, about 20 minutes from Charlottesville and near Skyline Drive. Designed by renowned landscape architects Wolfgang Oehme and James van Sweden, the farm is nestled in the rolling foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and features wooded trails, spacious paddocks, and scenic mountain vistas. The facility intentionally operates with fewer boarders to provide horses with generous natural space, peace, and individualized care.
Self-care field board includes a spacious paddock with run-in shed and heated automatic waterers, access to two shaded dry lots, and 24-hour access to a stall for veterinary and farrier appointments. Boarders provide their own daily feeding but hay is included. Full access to the farm's trails, round pen, and wash facilities is provided.
